Today's training. How shall I describe it? I don't know.
First, we had to fall in at 2.40pm. I heard from Miss Wee that there would be a talk by some of the NCC Air Cadets about the Advance Drill Course (not PDS) in which they attended during the March Holidays. However, the venue was not confirmed yet, so we proceeded with our usual training. I guess the reason for the few NCC Air cadets was because most of them were listening to the talk either in the LT1 or school hall.
Then we took attendance, before revising our drills with 2 NCC Air cadets who went for Supernumerary Course (as said by Jun Hong). We were split into two groups, with one cadet taking over each group. In my group, we were corrected on the common mistakes during Sedi-at positions, lifting the leg 90 degrees and so on.
At 4pm, the Catholics in our part had to leave as it was Maundy Thursday A.K.A. Holy Thursday. I don't know the significance of it and if you don't know too, here's some information which I got from Wikipedia. "In the Christian liturgical calendar, Maundy Thursday or Holy Thursday is the feast or holy day falling on the Thursday before Easter that commemorates the Last Supper of Jesus Christ with the Apostles. It is the fifth day of Holy Week, and is preceded by Holy Wednesday and followed by Good Friday. "
OKay, then it was soccer time. We split into 3 groups of four. Two teams battled it out first, then the the winner challenged the next team. We played for maybe 30 mins plus plus. It was filled with laughter, fun and joyful-pain (Wei Xuan got "attacked" by Kevin's powerful kick of the ball....) At about 4.50pm, ACSM told Jun Hong that we have to go back to Part Bench. We were then dismissed at 5pm! Jun Hong said that the Christians also had to leave early for Maundy Thursday, explaining the reason for early dismiss.
At about 5.20pm, although all of us had been dismissed, most of our Part cadets went to play soccer with Jun Hong and Jonathan (hopefully I spelt his name correctly). I don't know what time they stopped because I went home. In all, it was quite a simple and nice training. That's all
